Esther is a registered Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist (Registration no: 90-04204). She is a member of the NZ College of Clinical Psychologists.
Esther completed a Bachelor and a Master of Science degrees in Psychology at the University of Otago in 2000. She then worked as a research/policy analyst in the health and justice sector, before attending Victoria University to complete her postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology in 2008. She has held positions at Wellington and Auckland DHB (including Adult Neurology, Paediatric Oncology, Community Neurobehavioural Services, Maternal Mental Health Services) before establishing her own private practice in Auckland in 2012.
Esther holds specialist interests in the areas of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other neurological conditions, intellectual disability, sexual abuse and trauma, and the impacts on children and young people due family separation. She works with children, young people and adults. Now much of Esther work falls within the medico-legal arena. She is an accredited provider for a number of organisations, including ACC, health professional bodies (e.g., the NZ Medical Council), the NZ Police, Oranga Tamariki, and the Family Court.
